Making Use of the Staircase Landing

The staircase landing is a transition point often passed but rarely designed. With the right intervention, it can become a small reading corner, work area or display platform.

Window Seat: If there is a window on the landing, a custom-made bench plus cushions placed beneath it creates a perfect reading corner.

Bookcase: A slim bookcase running along the staircase edge gives the feel of a library while passing through.
