Different Colour Strategies for Sunny and Sunless Rooms
Colour Strategy by Aspect
The direction a window faces determines the room's light quality during the day and how long and how the colours appear.
South/West Facade (Sunny): Receives plenty of natural light during the day. Dark tones look dignified and rich in these rooms. Cool colours (blue, green) have a balancing effect.
North/East Facade (Cool, Low Light): Cool colours should be avoided. Warm whites, light yellow and cream should be preferred; reflective surfaces brighten the space.
