Is Glass Textile Wallcovering Worthwhile in Offices?
Yes; it is especially worthwhile on heavily used office walls such as corridors, meeting rooms and shared areas. It resists knocks and abrasion, and when the tenant or the corporate colour changes it is repainted without being removed.
It lowers maintenance costs
Chair backs, file trolleys and bags soon wear a painted plasterboard wall. Glass textile protects the wall like armour; when a refresh is needed, only painting is required.
Glass textile solutions made for offices
The SYSTEXX catalogue includes products designed for offices:
- Magnetic Whiteboard: a wall that holds magnets and can be written on.
- Logo: the company logo is woven into the fabric, up to 800 mm wide.
- AcousTherm: sound absorber class E (αP up to 0.7); reduces echo in meeting rooms.
Can it be installed without disrupting work?
On products with Aqua technology the adhesive is already on the back and is activated with water. According to the manufacturer this cuts working time by 30 to 40 per cent, so installation can fit into a weekend or outside office hours.
Is it used on plasterboard partition walls?
Yes; it is one of the safest ways to prevent lines opening later at plasterboard joints. Erdağ Yapı applies glass textile together with painting and partition work as part of its office renovation service; at the İBB Kasımpaşa Annex Service Building we completed the glass textile, painting and finishing work on a turnkey basis.
