Marble Effect with Marmorino

Marmorino is a lime-based decorative plaster technique. The fine marble dust it contains gives the surface an appearance reminiscent of real marble texture. It is preferred especially in living rooms, bathrooms and exterior applications.

Material Properties

Made of real lime and marble dust, Marmorino is a completely natural, ecological material. It breathes; with this feature it prevents moisture build-up on the wall surface and inhibits mould formation.

Colour Options

Coloured with natural earth pigments, Marmorino offers hundreds of tone options. In addition to single-colour classic applications, real marble veins can be imitated with the two-colour "veining" technique.

Durability

A correctly applied and polished Marmorino surface is extremely hard and durable. Its scratch resistance is comparable to real marble. It can be wiped with water and keeps its colour vividness for many years.

Application Process

Two to three layers are applied, with a drying period between each. The final layer is worked with sandpaper and polished with a steel spatula. A matte or semi-gloss result can be obtained as desired.
