Italian Paint Application in Büyükçekmece

Büyükçekmece's villa and detached-house fabric offers the conditions in which Italian decorative paint looks best: broad surfaces, high ceilings and generous daylight. In the houses along the Mimaroba and Alkent line, a living room wall often runs to tens of unbroken square metres — that is where the texture really reads. Erdağ Yapı Dekorasyon applies Marmorino, travertino, marble and concrete effects throughout Büyükçekmece.

What Sets the Per-m² Price of Italian Paint?

Three things: the technique chosen, the number of coats and the starting condition of the wall. A matt textured marmorino sits at the lower end while a burnished, polished veneziano approaches the top, because both coats and handwork increase. In Büyükçekmece a fourth factor comes in: surface size. Broad, unbroken walls lower the labour per square metre, but high surfaces needing scaffolding take that back. We work both out together at the survey and give a written quotation.

On a Broad Surface, Craftsmanship Shows

In decorative paint, the larger the surface the more openly the quality of the workmanship shows. Joint marks and texture inconsistencies that go unnoticed on a small wall become immediately visible on the wide living-room walls of Mimaroba and Alkent. That is why the application here is carried out without interruption by a single experienced craftsman; changing teams mid-day creates a difference in texture. For the same reason we do not leave a wall half done and return the next day — once the wet edge dries, the junction stays visible for good.

We have completed a decorative WC wall at Alkent, a living-room TV wall and decorative paint work at Mimaroba, and a vertical-line living-room design plus decorative treatment throughout the WCs at Gölşehir Konutları. We always prepare the sample panel on your own wall.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sets the price of Italian paint in Büyükçekmece?

The technique, the number of coats and the starting condition of the wall. A fourth factor applies here: surface size. Broad unbroken walls lower the labour per square metre, while high surfaces needing scaffolding take that back. We work both out at the survey.

Marmorino or veneziano?

Marmorino is more matt and textured, and more forgiving in everyday rooms. Veneziano is glass-like and deep, but its shine reveals every irregularity, so the substrate must be perfect. The state of the wall usually makes the choice for you.

Will joint marks show on a wide living-room wall?

Not if a single craftsman works without interruption. We do not leave a wall half done and return the next day; once the wet edge dries, the junction stays visible for good. So we plan wide walls to be finished in one go.

Do you work on villa stairwells?

Yes. Scaffolding is quoted as a separate item. We finish that surface in one go so the texture stays unbroken.

How many coats, and is waiting needed?

Two to four depending on the product. Marmorino needs 4-6 hours between coats, lime-based finishes longer. The wait cannot be skipped: if the coat below is not fully dry the surface will not bind and will chalk later.

How many days for a living room?

A single wall takes a day, a medium room 2-3 days, a large living room 3-4 days. In villas we add a day for high walls and scaffolding. Drying takes longer in winter and humid weather, and we schedule accordingly.

Can it be used on exterior facades?

Some lime-based products suit facades and are preferred because they breathe. But not every decorative product is made for outdoor use. Application depends on the weather: if rain is forecast or night temperatures fall below 5 degrees, the work is postponed.

Is there a smell during application?

Our products are water-based, so there is no solvent smell. A faint lime scent clears within hours. Where a solvent-based sealer is used we suggest a day of ventilation.

Can the surface be cleaned if marked?

Sealed surfaces wipe down with a damp cloth. If you want a wipeable surface, say so at the start so we choose the finish coat accordingly. In kitchens and bathrooms we recommend a wax or resin seal.

Can it go over existing paint?

Over sound, matt emulsion it can, with a primer. Glossy oil paint or a flaking layer needs stripping. It cannot go over the distemper we often meet in converted summer houses. We decide with a tape test.
