In a Conversion, Infrastructure Comes First

The most commonly overlooked issue when turning an old industrial building into an office is infrastructure. The electrical installation of a space used as a warehouse will not carry the computer, air-conditioning and lighting load of office density; heating, cooling and ventilation must also be rethought. Starting decoration before this infrastructure is resolved means opening the wall again a few months later. On these projects we produce the electrical and mechanical plan first.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does renovation take in Kâğıthane?

Repainting and re-flooring takes 3-5 days, a full renovation including kitchen and bathroom 3-5 weeks, and an industrial-to-office conversion 8-16 weeks depending on scope.

What matters when converting an industrial building to an office?

Infrastructure comes first. Warehouse electrics will not carry office-density computer, air-conditioning and lighting loads; heating, cooling and ventilation must be rethought. Starting decoration before this means opening the wall again later.

Can office renovation be done outside business hours?

Yes. We plan evening, weekend and phased work so your operations are not disrupted.

Plasterboard or block partitions?

For partitions, plasterboard is faster, lighter and takes services inside it. Where sound insulation matters, double boarding with mineral wool gets close to a block wall. If heavy units are going up, we add noggings behind the board.

Who removes the rubble?

Rubble removal is in the price with no later extras. We sweep the communal areas every evening — most neighbour complaints start there.

Can the price change later?

Not unless the scope in the contract changes. If something unexpected appears when a wall is opened — rotten pipework, damp — we show you and take approval before doing anything.

Wood flooring or tiles?

Use decides. With pets or children, scratch-resistant LVT or SPC makes sense. If there's underfloor heating, the product has to be rated for it.

Plasterboard or block walls?

A block wall is more solid but means rubble, weight and time. For most flat partitions plasterboard is enough; the decision comes from discussing sound and hanging loads.

Do you clean up when the work is finished?

A builder's clean is included: rubble, packaging and construction dust removed and floors washed. A detailed final clean is priced separately if you want it.
