Why Is Seeing a Sample Important with Decorative Paint?

Why Is Seeing a Sample Important with Decorative Paint?

Because decorative paint turns out according to the applicator's hand and your own light, not the photo in a catalogue. The same product looks different on another wall, in another light and in other hands; a sample is the only way to see the result before the work starts.

What to check on a sample

  • Colour: look at it in daylight and under your evening lighting.
  • Depth of texture: how strong are the shadows when light falls from the side?
  • Sheen: matt, silky or polished?
  • Touch: would a rough surface catch on clothes in a narrow hallway?

How is a proper sample prepared?

The best sample is one applied by the person who will do the job, on the wall itself or on a board prepared with the same primer. A photo on a phone screen misleads on both colour and texture.

Why is the approved sample kept?

Because it is the reference for the job: the colour code, number of coats and texture are repeated from it. When the work is finished, the result is compared with this sample.

How does Erdağ Yapı show samples?

We bring sample boards to the survey, and before you decide the chosen technique is tried on your wall. To look at designs beforehand, see those at ithalduvarkagit.com and request a survey.
