Erdağ Yapı Dekorasyon works across both the European and Anatolian sides of Istanbul from its showroom at Sunflower AVM in Esenyurt. Customers who want to see samples in person are welcome at the showroom, and we check measurements and surface condition ourselves before any job starts.

Same Product, Different Building, Different Outcome

What decides how long a covering lasts is usually not its price but the wall beneath it. In older buildings along the Bosphorus and in humid areas such as Beykoz and Sarıyer, condensation can form behind the covering, so we choose breathable systems. In the newer blocks of Bahçeşehir, Başakşehir and Beylikdüzü the problem is reversed: the plaster arrives with a single coat of primer and the adhesive will not hold until its absorbency is balanced. That is why we measure wall moisture during the survey and include priming and levelling in the price when they are needed.

Which districts of Istanbul do you cover?

We serve the whole of both the European and Anatolian sides. Our showroom is at Sunflower AVM in Esenyurt, and we make no distinction by district for surveys.

Can I see samples at the showroom?

Yes. Rather than choosing from a catalogue, we recommend holding the sample in the light of your own space; colour and texture read differently in print.

Is the survey charged?

No. On-site measuring and surface and moisture assessment are free. After measuring we give an itemised written price.

How long does installation take?

On a prepared surface a single room usually takes a day and a whole flat 2-4 days. Stripping, plaster levelling or drying out damp extends this, and we say so clearly at the survey.

Wallpaper or glass textile?

In homes wallpaper is usually enough. In heavily used places such as clinics, schools and corridors, glass textile lasts longer: it is washable and impact resistant.

Do I need to empty the room of furniture?

Full clearance isn't necessary, but the wall face has to be free. We also remove socket and switch plates and refit them when the work is done.

Will the seams be visible?

On plain, untextured papers a seam can be spotted against the light; on patterned or textured products it is nearly invisible. That is why the starting point is chosen according to the window light.

How do you calculate how many rolls are needed?

We don't fully deduct door and window openings, because those areas generate cutting waste. After measuring we give the roll count based on the repeat, and we allow one spare roll since matching the batch number later is difficult.

Which product suits a child's room best?

Odour-free, wipeable, and a pattern that won't tire quickly. We recommend certified low-emission products, and pattern on the bed wall with plain elsewhere keeps both the budget and the eye calm.
